LIZZIE STOKELY
Bruny Island, TasmaniaBorn and bred on Bruny Island, Tassie – I’ve been lucky enough to grow up on a farm right by the ocean. Life down here’s simple, salty, and bloody good. I’m all about surfing, diving, fishing, and having a laugh. Most winters I’ve been up in Exmouth, WA – chasing sun, swell, and work. I’m a skipper by trade, so I’m either on the water or in it, whether that’s putting in a day’s work or heading out for a fish or dive for dinner.
I’ve always had a thing for all types of waves, but the heavy stuff really gets me going – especially Shipsterns. There’s something about that place that keeps me coming back. Outside of the ocean, I’m always keen for an adventure and never shy of a cold beer (or ten). Grateful for the good times so far and stoked for whatever’s next.

THE MAD HUEYS Q & A
1. Most Memorable Surf:
My first ever surf at Shippies when I was a grom. Still one of the biggest adrenaline hits I’ve had. Unreal crew in the lineup, the roar when I took off, and getting barrelled with a front row seat inside the wave. I can still picture it clear as day – it lit the fire for everything that’s followed.
2. Most Memorable Fish Caught:
Speared a big mahi mahi bull out in 200m of water – epic moment until I copped a bump in the head from a shark. Didn’t lose the fish and didn’t lose my cool (just moved very quickly back to the boat).
3. Most Memorable Party:
Hard to beat a rodeo, and the Pannawonica Rodeo up in WA is next level. That one always turns into a loose one – good crew, wild times.
