JIMMI HILL

Coolangatta QLD (formerly Anna Bay NSW)

Jimmi is originally from Anna Bay in the Port Stephens area but made the move to the Gold Coast in late 2023. Jimmi's connection to the ocean runs deep. While Jimmi is building quite a profile in all surfing aspects, he is also an accomplished diver and enjoys fishing and spearfishing.

Jimmi is a quiet, humble, and unassuming character, yet his power, size, and fearless approach in the water have earned him the nicknames "beast" and "man-child." In competition, he is calm and patient, undeterred by setbacks, demonstrating his resilience and positive mindset. This attitude not only makes him a likeable character but also a role model for younger surfers who look up to him. Jimmi takes pride in mentoring and inspiring these groms, offering them guidance and support. Outside of surfing, he enjoys training, hanging with his mates, and embracing new challenges. His active lifestyle is further showcased by his involvement in playing Rugby League for the Bilambil Jets, proving he's always ready to try something new and push his limits.

Current wins under his belt:

• 3rd place in the 2023 Australian Junior Surfing Titles, just missing out on securing a spot to compete at the World Titles.

• 4th place in the 2024 Port Stephens Pro (WSL World Qualifying Series Event) at his home beach, Birubi Beach.

• Currently ranked 3rd on the Surfing Australia National Junior Rankings after placing 2nd in both the 2024 Parko Junior Pro and 2024 Occy Grom Comp.

In 2024, Jimmi aims to settle into his new surroundings on the Gold Coast, continue surfing and having fun, and place well on the Australian Junior Rankings. His ultimate goals are to get another crack at an Australian Junior Title and earn a spot in the ISA World Junior Championships. He also plans more trips in the search for perfect waves.
