MAX MCGUIGAN

Max grew up in Maroubra, surfing, fishing, spear fishing, playing golf running a muck with friends. Spent his younger years/ teens travelling around Australia doing all the pro juniors and QS’s. He got a trade at the age of 16 doing carpentry, and hit the tools for the for next 4 years completing his course. Max now works as a lifeguard down at his home beach while still travelling around the world chasing big swells.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

  • 1st place in the 2013 ocean & earth teenage rampage
  • 1st place in the 2014 ripcord from search Cronulla
  • 1st place in the 2018 junior state titles Port Macquarie
  • 4th place in the 2015 subway surf series U18’s
  • 3rd place in the 2016 junior surfest U19’s
  • 3rd place in the 2018 ISA Australian titles
  • Represented Australia in the 2018 ISA world junior titles ended up around equal 10th

1. Most Memorable Surf:
Representing Australia at the ISA World Junior Titles in 2018. Pulling on the green and gold and surfing against the best juniors in the world is something I'll never forget.

2. Most Memorable Fish Caught:
Any day we're boating around and landing a couple of solid Southern Bluefin Tuna with your mates is hard to beat.
